Sri Lankan fast bowler Nuwan Pradeep has been ruled out of the team's next match against Bangladesh on Tuesday.
Pradeep suffered a blow to his bowling hand during the practice sessions yesterday. "A finger has been dislocated and he will have to rest for at least a week," an informed SLC source said.
Nuwann Pradeep was the man of the match in Sri Lanka's previous match against Afghanistan as he took four wickets helping Sri Lanka's first victory in the World Cup.
It is not immediately clear as to who will replace Pradeep during the match against Bangladesh. Fast bowler Kasun Rajitha, who has not played a single match in the World Cup so far, has been included in the 15-member squad. "We will make a final decision based on the pitch conditions tomorrow, " a team source added.
