ACMC Leader Rishad Bathiudeen said he would lodge a complaint with the IGP over false allegations levelled against him by UPFA Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa.
Bathiudeen, in a tweet, said this morning that Weerawansa's allegations against him are driven by political motives.
"Will playing dangerous politics with Sri Lankan Muslims help unity at this crucial time? Bathiudeen asked.
Weerawansa recently levelled serious allegations against Bathiudeen linking him with Muslim extremists operating in Sri Lanka.
Parliamentarian Athuraliye Rathana Thera also launched a hunger strike in Kandy demanding the removal of Bathiudeen, former Governors Azath Salley and M.L.A.M. Hizbullah
