Former Defence Ministry Secretary Hemasiri Fernando and IGP Pujitha Jayasundara will appear before the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) probing the Easter Sunday explosions tomorrow.
President Maithripala Sirisena has found fault with Fernando and Jayasundara for not taking action on the intelligence reports pertaining to possible terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka.
Fernando resigned from his position as directed by the President and Jayasundara was sent on compulsory leave.
However, Jayasundara has filed a Fundamental Rights petition in the Supreme Court seeking an interim order preventing President Sirisena from sacking him.
Former Terrorist Investigations Division (TID) DIG Nalaka Silva appeared before the PSC yesterday and gave evidence. Silva was arrested by the Police last year over the alleged assassination plot on President Maithripala Sirisena.
