UNF Parliamentarian Wasantha Senanayake has been appointed the Foreign Affairs State Minister by President Maithripala Sirisena.

Senanayake switched sides multiple times during the political crisis in 2018. He was not given any position when the UNP government was reinstated in December 2018.

Meanwhile, Minister Ranjith Maddumabandara was given an additional post as the Minister of Rural Economic Affairs, in addition to his current post as the Minister of Public Administration and Disaster Management.
