Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe held a meeting with the heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Colombo and briefed them on the current situation in the country.
At the meeting, the Prime Minister requested the diplomats to lift travel restrictions and advisories on Sri Lanka as the situation in Sri Lanka has now returned to normalcy.
Wickremesinghe also added that adequate measures have been adopted to ensure the public security.
Our sources from the Prime Minister's Office stated that Wickremesinghe also briefed the diplomats on the progress of the ongoing investigations against the Islamist terrorists.
The Prime Minister has also assured the diplomats that strict action would be taken against those who attempted to incite racial violence in the aftermath of the Easter Sunday explosions.
