Sri Lanka Cricket has suspended cricketer Dhanushka Gunathilake from 06 international matches.
The cricketer has been suspended for breaching the player code of conduct and contractual obligation.
His name appeared in a recent Police complaint lodged by a Norwegian woman over an incident of sexual harassment.
Although the investigations into the complaint cleared Gunathilake of any wrongdoing, it was transpired that the player had not returned to his hotel room on time, on the day the alleged incident took place
As a result of the ban, Gunathilake will miss the bilateral ODI series against South Africa starting in a few days.
However, he will be available for tee Asia Cup in September.
