Peradeniya University Closed For Two Months To 'Diffuse Tensions'

The Vice Chancellor's Office of the Peradeniya University has informed the students that the university will be closed for 2 months from today.

All students have been instructed to vacate the university premises before 6 pm today.

The university administration had said the decision was made to diffuse 'tensions' in the university.

They had also informed students that the exact date of the opening of the university will be communicated later, through media.

During this period, no student will be allowed to enter the university premises for any activity, without permission from the university administration.
