Former cricketer Charith Senanayake has been appointed the manager of the Sri Lankan cricket team.
Senanayake's appointment will be valid until Asia Cup 2018 due in September.
Senanayake succeeds Asanka Gurusinghe who is currently facing an ICC ban for violating the "spirit of the game."
Gurusinghe was recently picked up to lead the Brain Centre of Sri Lanka Cricket.
Senanayake also functioned as the manager of the Sri Lankan cricket team a few years ago, but later quit the post due to administrative issues
