Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe paid a surprise visit to the weekly cultural show held at the Arcade Independence Square yesterday.
Only Ministers Sagala Ratnayaka (Project Management, Youth Affairs and Southern Development) and John Amaratunga (Tourism) were expected to attend.
The Prime Minister was seen enjoying traditional dance and folk music at the event that is held every Friday.
The Premier spent about 45 minutes at the Arcade Independence Square, last evening.
The cultural show is the initiative of the Prime Minister’s Office, supported by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
The event, which is in line with the ‘Tourism Strategic Plan’, has the involvement of the tri-forces and the National Youth Services Council (NYSC).
