Former DIG Prasanna Nanayakkara and former SI Thissa Sugathapala, arrested over Lasantha Wickramatunga murder case, have been released on bail by court a short while ago. 

The two Police officers have been released on sureties of Rs. 1 million each. 

They were initially arrested for concealing evidence with regard to the former Sunday Leader Editor's murder. 

They were questioned on the notebook belonging to Wickramatunga which went missing while in Police custody.
