Sri Lanka's senior-most spin bowler Rangana Herath annouced that he would retire from international cricket after the series against England later this year.
The 40 year old cricketer has represented Sri Lanka in 91 Test matches and got 421 wickets.
He has already retired from T20 and ODI formats to focus solely on Test cricket.
'I think it's time to retire from cricket as I need to give more chances to the youngsters," Herath said.
He is the leading left arm wicket taker in the world and is among the 10 highest wicket takers in the history of Test cricket.
