The Fisheries Ministry reported today that the fishing boat with seven fishermen that had gone missing since June 14 had been found.

The boat and fishermen were reported missing from Hikkaduwa after venturing into the seas and India and the Maldives assisted in the search.

The Fisheries Ministry said the seven fisherman had been found aboard the trawler ‘Sindur-2’ were in good health.

Two Navy vessels are en route to accompany the ‘Sindur-2’  and its crew members back to Sri Lanka.
