Leave of all Police officers in the Jaffna Division has been cancelled following the recent wave of violence in the District. 

Police Department sources said the decision would be valid for two weeks. 

Police sources also said 100 additional Police officers have been deployed to Jaffna to expedite investigations. 

The decision has been made following a request by the Senior DIG of Jaffna, Roshan Fernando.
