Speaker Karu Jayasuriya has instructed Attorney General Jayantha Jayasuriya whether State Minister Vijayakala Maheswaran has breached the constitution. 

The State Minister, addressing a public gathering in Jaffna, said the LTTE should be revived to ensure the well-being of Tamils in the North.

Many legal experts have opined that Maheswaran runs the risk of losing her Parliamentary seat over the controversial statement. 

The LTTE is a banned organization in Sri Lanka , which challenged the country's territorial integrity. 

All MPs take an oath before Parliament upon their appointment to protect the territorial integrity of the country.
