The International Cricket Council has informed that Sri Lanka's ICC membership will be reconsidered if the SLC election is not held within the next 06 months.
Presently, the Competent Authority appointed by the Sports Ministry to administer the SLC takes part in ICC sessions representing Sri Lanka.
The ICC said the Competent Authority would be allowed to take part in ICC sessions for six months, as an observer.
Sri Lanka became a full member of the ICC in 1982 when the country received Test status.
The SLC election has been postponed due to an ongoing court case.
