Euro 4 standard Petrol (Octane 95) and Super Diesel was introduced to Sri Lanka today. 

A brief ceremony was organized in this regard under the patronage of Petroleum Minister Arjuna Ranatunga and Deputy Minister Anoma Gamage. 

The Ministry previously announced that the use of high standard fuel would minimize the environmental pollution and enhance the performance of vehicles. 

The fuel, they added, would  be released to the market at subsidized prices.
