The famous William Grinding Mills in Dehiwala has ceased its operations. 

The building, constructed in 1951, was  famous as it was one of the main landmark buildings in Dehiwala. 

The reason for the closure is not yet clear. The place was well-known among Sri Lankan in and around Colombo for its spices.

The junction near the William Grinding Mills in Dehiwala is usually known as the 'William Junction'.
