Sandhya Ekneligoda Confirms Receiving Death Threats After BBS Gen. Secretary Gnanasara Thera's Imprisonment

Disappeared journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda's wife Sandhya Ekneligoda said she had received death threats from extremist groups following the imprisonment of Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera. 

Gnanasara Thera was jailed for six months after he threatened the disappeared journalist's wife within the Homagama Magistrate's Court premises. The controversial monk was later released on bail. 

Addressing a press conference in Colombo today, Ekneligoda said her husband was not working with any terrorist organization.

She said any party could hold an investigation on such alleged links. 

She also accused the Sri Lankan military forces of concealing information on the disappearance of her husband.
