Supreme Court judges Sampath Abeykoon, Sampath Wijeratne and Champa janaki Rajaratne have been appointed to the special High Court hearing cases of fraud and corruption., the Government Information Department said. 

The appointments, the department said, have been made by the Chief Justice. 

The special high court to try high profile bribery and corruption cases will open on July 4.

The court is aimed at clearing backlog of high profile cases including those against members of the former government.
