The bail application of Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagoda Aththe  Gnanasara thera will be taken up shortly before the Homagama Magistrate today. 

The hearing of the application was postponed to today as the officials of the Attorney General's Department did not turn up at the previous hearing. 

Meanwhile, a group of Bodu Bala Sena mpnks have launched a protest near the Magistrate's court premises demanding bail for Gnanasara Thera.

They also threatened to launch a fast unto death campaign if the monk was refused bail. 

Gnanasara Thera was given a 06 month imprisonment for threatening Sandhya Eknaligoda, the wife of the missing journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda, within the Magistrate's Court premises.
