Sri Lankan Test captain Dinesh Chandimal has been banned from the third Test match against West Indies.
The verdict was given yesterday at the inquiry over the alleged ball tampering incident involving Sri Lanka.
At the inquiry, Chandimal admitted that he put a foreign object in his mouth before applying saliva on the ball, but added he could not remember what it was.
The ICC panel which conducted the inquiry stated Chandimal's statement was 'unconvincing.'
It has not yet been announced as to who will lead the Sri Lankan cricket team in Chandimal's absence.
