UNP MP Buddhika Pathirana today took oaths as the Industry and Commerce Deputy Minister.

Pathirana topped the UNP preferential votes list in Matara at two Parliamentary elections. 

The MP could not take oaths with other new Deputy ministers as he was overseas  

Trained as a medical doctor, Pathirana was a TV journalist before entering politics.
