UNP MPs strongly criticized the Cabinet ministers who did not take part in the Parliamentary group meeting yesterday. 

They said they could not discuss serious issues relating to the government as the Ministers responsible for the subjects did not turn up at the meeting. 

They slammed the Cabinet ministers who 'waste the time' of Parliamentary group members.  

The issue of Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera's sentence was among matters scheduled to be taken up for discussion at the group meeting. 

However, Ministers Sagala Ratnayaka, Rajitha Senartne, D.M. Swaminathan, Lakshman Kiriella and Gayantha Karunathilake were among the handful of Ministers present at the meeting.
