The main suspect in he murder of Karandeniya Pradeshiya Sabha Deputy Chairman Donald Sampath Ranaweera was apprehended by Police this morning.

He was arrested while hiding out in Kahawa, Weragoda.

He is believed to be an accomplice of the underworld leader ‘Kosgoda Sujee’.

Deputy Chairman Donald Sampath Ranaweera was shot at by two gunmen on a motorcycle while travelling in an SUV in Uragasmanhandiya on June 8.

One suspect was arrested in the immediate aftermath of the shooting.
