A journalist attached to the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation Mahesh Nissanka has been arrested by the Kadawatha Police. 

The arrest has been made in connection with an alleged assault on a person. 

The person who came under assault has been admitted to hospital. 

He is believed to be an owner of a fitness centre in the Wattala area.
