The price of kerosene will be reduced by between Rs. 25 to Rs. 30, making the price for a litre of kerosene between Rs. 78 – 80.
The decision to reduce the price of kerosene was made after discussions between the Prime Minister and Finance and Mass Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera.
The decision was announced on Friday by Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development and Rural Economic Affairs Deputy Minister Dilip Wedaarachchi.
He said that the decision was made after taking the hardships faced by the fishing community and low-income status families into consideration. (GID)
