The 16 SLFP MPs who have now joined the opposition held a special meeting with former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa yesterday. 

The meeting was held at the former Defence Secretary's personal residence in Mirihana, Nugegoda. 

At the meeting, Asian Mirror learns, the SLFP MPs have discussed ways they can work with the former Defence Secretary in the future. 

They had also informed Rajapaksa that the group would conduct a meeting with the Joint Opposition as well.
