Colonel W.W. Rathapriya received an emotional farewell today as he ended  his tenure as the head of the Civil Security Department in Mullaitivu.

Former LTTE combatants who have undergone rehabilitation and villagers were also among those who attended the farewell function.

Some of them were even seen crying when the senior Army officer bade adieu to those who attended the function.

During his five year term in the past, he had worked efficiently and effectively to integrate former LTTE combatants into civilian life.
