Jaffna Provincial Council MP K. Shivajilingam has been admitted to hospital following a brief illness. 

TNA sources said the councilor, a former Member of Parliament, has  been admitted to the ICU of the Jaffna Teaching hospital due to a stroke. 

The politician had suffered the stroke while at his residence in Jaffna. 

Hospital sources, however, said his condition was not critical.
