Attorney General Jayantha Jayasuriya has informed President's Secretary Austin Fernando that releasing section C 350 of the Bond Commission's report will not make an impact on investigations.
Fernando sought a clarification from the Attorney General on publicizing the report of the Bond Commission last week in the wake of speculations that it had the names of 118 MPs who obtained money from controversial businessman Arjuna Aloysius.
Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake has already filed an RTI request seeking details on MPs who allegedly obtained money from Perpetual Treasuries owner Arjuna Aloysius.
"Filed a RTI request, requesting details of all those who got robbed money from PTL & Alloysius, 118 names, it will be very interesting," Ramanayake tweeted last week.
Speaking to media, former Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera previously said 118 other Parliamentarians had taken a sum totaling Rs.1.3 billion for electioneering from the controversial businessman who is at the centre of the Treasury bonds fiasco.
