Northern Provincial Minister K. Sarveshan has been summoned by the Terrorist Investigations Department (TID). 

Sarveshan is a member of the Tamil National Alliance. 

The politician has been summoned for refusing to hoist the national flag at an educational event in Vavuniya. 

The Police sources admitted that the Provincial Minister had been summoned to record a statement over the incident.
