The file containing documents relating to registration activities of Sakvithi Housing and Construction is missing, the Attorney General (AG) told the Colombo High Court today.

When the case against Sakvithi Ranasinghe the attorney representing the AG’s Department said the file that was maintained by the company was missing.

High Court Judge Sampath Wijeyratne ordered the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the Police to look into the matter.

The case against Sakvithi Ranasinghe and ten others was fixed for trial on October 10.

Sakvithi Ranasinghe is alleged to have committed fraud to the tune of Rs. 1, 628 million from depositors.
