Showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Puttalam, Galle and Matara districts, the Meteorological Department said, adding that fairly heavy showers of about 50 mm can be expected at some places.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Eastern and Uva provinces after 2.00 P.M., it also said adding that fairly strong winds of about 50 kmph can be expected in the Hambantota and Matale districts.
