Light showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts, the Meteorological Department said.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at few places in the Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Mullaitivu and Vauniya districts after 2.00 p.m

Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected in the Southern province, particularly in the Hambantota district, it said.
