The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) will launch an indefinite strike on Wednesday (5) against the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM).

On June 22 the GMOA launched a strike on the heels of a clash between university students and the Special Task Force (STF) of the Police that left 95 injured.

Although the strike was called off on June 24, the GMOA promised continued action against the government if it failed to shut down SAITM.
