Current Government Dedicated To Peace Building

The current government is dedicated to peace building, Chairperson of the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation (ONUR) former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga said at the ONUR organized Comparative Peace-building Conference yesterday.

The former President told the audience consisting of many local and foreign dignitaries that at a juncture like this, after the end of a thirty-year long war, Sri Lankans must unite and not be divided and continue along the path of good governance. 

The Comparative Peace Building Conference, held at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies, was organized in conjunction with several international educational institutions and focused on the comparative Asian experience of post-war peace building.
