Two suspects were arrested by the Mirihana Police for involvement in the shooting incident on May 9 that left two people dead.

The suspects – aged 35 and 57 – were arrested from Kesbewa and Piliyandala, Police sources said.

The suspects are to be produced before the Kesbewa Magistrate today.

The Police also took a tipper and car used to transport ammunition into custody.

An officer attached to the Police Narcotics Bureau and a 11-year-old girl were killed in the shooting incident and two others were injured.
