Finance and Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera, who met with representatives of the Chamber of Provincial Entrepreneurs at the Ministry of Finance yesterday, promised the Treasury would rectify issues faced by small business owners with regard to the calculation and payment of taxes at the next budget.

The representatives of the Chamber of Provincial Entrepreneurs who met with the Finance and Media Minister yesterday had briefed the Minister on the issues faced by them regarding the calculation and payment of taxes, to which the Minister has responded the Treasury intends to rectify the matter.

State Minister of Finance Eran Wickramaratne and Secretary to the Treasury, Dr. R.H.S. Samaratunga also took part in the discussion.
