The suspect in the murder of Tharindi Aloka, the 26-year-old daughter of a billionaire businessman in Kottawa, surrendered to Police through his lawyers today.

The suspect was produced before the Homagama Magistrates’ Court and remanded till July 4.

On June 22, at around 3.30 P.M. the body of Tharindi Aloka was found hacked to death in a three-storey house adjacent to her parent's business premises in Kottawa.

The prime suspect in the murder was a young businessman from the Southern Province who had been rejected by Tharindi Aloka who planned to leave the country after her studies.
