Rumours are rife that Western Province Chief Minister Isura Devapriya will be removed from his position as Chief Minister of the Western Province and replaced by Western Province Agriculture Minister Gamini Thilaksiri.

Reports said the issue of unattended garbage in Colombo is reason for the rumoured removal of the Chief Minister: Chief Minister Isura Devapriya has reportedly granted the tender for garbage removal at the Colombo Municipal Council to a private company for a period of 4 years.
