Inter University Students’ Federation (IUSF) Convener Lahiru Weerasekera was arrested by the Police a short while ago.

He was arrested in relation to the incident on Wednesday, when university students led by the IUSF forcibly entered the Ministry of Health and caused damage to property.

The IUSF and other university students are protesting against the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM).
