The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) will continue until the further notice the strike begun this morning, GMOA sources said.

The GMOA announced their strike last evening in protest of the attack against university students yesterday, which saw as many 95 students injured.

University students protesting against the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) yesterday forcibly entered the Ministry of Health.

Police Special Task Force (STF) was called in and water cannons were used to disperse the protesting students.
