Slippers left behind by university students fleeing Police after their protest was broken up, were returned in bulk to the students.

Students attached to the Inter University Students’ Federation yesterday organised a protest march against the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) that culminated in the forcible entrance to the Ministry of Health.

Police Special Task Force (STF) was called in to remove the students that entered the Ministry of Health premises forcibly and water cannons were used to disperse the protestors congregating outside.
