The Colombo High Court released six officials attached to the Sri Lanka Army Intelligence Unit who were arrested for involvement in the assault on journalist Keith Noyahr, on bail this morning.  

The six officers were released on a cash bail of Rs. 35,000 and three sureties of Rs. 1.5 million each. Additionally the six were bared from leaving the country until the conclusion of the case in court.

Journalist Keith Noyahr was abducted from near his home in Dehiwala on May 22nd and held overnight. He was assaulted by his abductors and released the next morning after his colleagues applied intense pressure on the government.
