Five persons reported missing in the Saptha Kanya forest reserve in Nallathanniya have been located.

A group of Special Task Force personnel have reached the location and a special aircraft has been deployed to bring the group back.

Air Force Media Spokesman said a search operation by the Air Force led to the discovery of the group.

STF launched a special search and rescue operation yesterday to locate and rescue the missing persons.

Group repeatedly contacted the police emergency hotline 119 after losing their way and it is isaid the group informed the police that they lit a fire to signal their location.
