The total income of the National Parks up to September this year is about 1,594 million, according to the Deputy Minister of Sustainable Development and Wildlife Sumedha G. Jayasena.

She stated this yesterday in Parliament elaborating at the Budget debate under the Expenditure heads of the Wildlife ministry.

She further added that by the end of September, about 1, 549, 202 tourist had visited the national parks and out of them 957,846 are local visitors and 591, 356 are foreigners.
