An international summit on disaster warning commenced in Colombo today. The event is attended by delegations from 14 countries in the Indian Oceanic Rim. The inaugural session was conducted under the patronage of Minister Mahinda Amaraweera. The summit is focused on identifying capabilities communicating certain disasters for instance typhoons, tsunami to the fishermen. 

The summit will be concluded tomorrow.
