President Maithripala Sirisena says conserving ancient document is a conservation of history.
At a discussion held in the President's Secretariat the President said preserving the important documents in the archives should be streamlined.
Inscriptions and letters over 100 years should be conserved using the modern technology. The President focused the attention to implement a systematic plan in the archives with this process.
The President instructed the subject minister to prepare a cabinet paper to provide human resources and infrastructure facilities to the department of archives.
The President also instructed the officials of the archives to obtain expertise knowledge for the preservation of high documentations.
