No SLFP MP will join the new party formed by the allies of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, UPFA General Secretary Mahinda Amaraweera said, implying that even Rajapaksa himself will not join the party.

He made this observation yesterday after an event in Colombo.

Amaraweera said that the new party will be joined by those who are being investigated for various financial misdeeds.

Nevertheless, this move is advantageous only to the UNP, Amaraweera said.
