According to Investing.com , Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Services, Motors and Investment Trust sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU), which rose 8.33% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Printcare PLC (CM:CARE) added 7.82% or 2.90 points to end at 40.00 and Waskaduwa Beach Resort PLC (CM:CITW) was up 6.25% or 0.30 points to 5.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Singer Industries PLC (CM:SINI), which fell 14.53% or 24.70 points to trade at 145.30 at the close. First Capital Holdings PLC (CM:CFVF) declined 8.39% or 2.40 points to end at 26.20 and Muller & Phipps PLC (CM:MULL) was down 8.33% or 0.100 points to 1.100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 103 to 53 and 49 ended unchanged.
Shares in Muller & Phipps PLC (CM:MULL) fell to 5-year lows; falling 8.33% or 0.100 to 1.100.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.68% or 1.16 to $44.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.30% or 1.02 to hit $45.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.44% or 5.35 to trade at $1227.05 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.31% to 185.005, while USD/LKR rose 0.13% to 148.010.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 99.72.
